Telefónica to reduce 30% of its CO2 emissions by 2020
The objective is one more step in the company’s commitment to reduce its energy consumption in networks and offices. Both, agreed by the energy managers of the Group during the 3rd Global Workshop on Energy and Climate Change, the objective has been set in relation to customer accesses to take into account growth in business. Unilever and L'Oréal lead in increasing climate transparency

The European Commission has published an introductory guide to human rights for SMEs This guide is consistent with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. Human rights guidance for oil and gas sector now online for public consultation
The Oil & Gas (O&G) sector guidance is now online for public consultation and will be open for comment through Friday 1 February 2013. Comments can be submitted to the project team at sectorguidance@ihrb.org by 1 February.It is the European Commission’s intention to produce practical, useful guidance for businesses on implementing the Guiding Principles, which is not intended to be legally binding. BASF environmental programs are recognized by the wildlife habitat council
BASF Corporation’s Coatings Technical Support Center in Whitehouse, Ohio, has received Wildlife at Work recertification from the Wildlife Habitat Council.The Wildlife at Work program provides a structure for corporate-driven cooperative efforts between management, employees and community members to create, conserve and restore wildlife habitats on corporate lands.
