On the heels of last year's failed climate negotiations in Copenhagen, more companies worldwide are attempting to advance national and international policies around climate change. Now, a new report from BSR offers the first concrete guidelines on how business can communicate to customers, investors, and the public on these climate policy engagement efforts. Global water shortage will transform business operations, Industrial practices over next decade, says new SustainAbility Globescan survey
Jeff Erikson, senior vice president at SustainAbility, said the decisions executives make to respond to freshwater scarcity will penetrate almost every aspect of their business operations. The Coca-Cola Company, FEMSA and The World Environment Center Launch Cleaner Production Partnership in Costa Rica
The Coca-Cola Company, FEMSA and the World Environment Center (WEC) announced today the launch of an innovative partnership to expand the sustainable development commitments of Coca-Cola and FEMSA's Costa Rican suppliers by reducing energy and water consumption, minimizing waste and raw material usage and lowering operating costs. Shoppers go green 'to impress neighbours not to save planet', study finds
While consumers are more likely to "go green" on the high street where they can be seen making altruistic choices, the privacy of online shopping brings out an entirely different behaviour. When people are not being watched by their peers they are more willing to shun the ethical products in favour of comfort and convenience, the report says. Swedish govt fund vows to vote down short-term excessive bonuses
Swedish government buffer pension fund, AP1, has sent out a tough message that it will vote against what it deems to be excessive executive bonuses during the forthcoming company annual general meeting (AGM) season.
