Coca-Cola Hellenic’s efforts to protect and preserve the river Danube were recognised at the Ethical Corporation Awards 2011. The annual awards, which celebrate responsible business practices by leading companies, were held on Tuesday 3 May in London on the opening day of the Responsible Business Summit 2011. “Responsible business in Poland 2010. Good practices” Report
On March 31st, 2011, Responsible Business Forum has launched the ninth edition of its annual Report "Responsible Business in Poland. Good practices". Main trends observed in the Report are increasing interest in CSR among small and medium enterprises and rising use of social media in sustainable corporate practices. 117 good practices were sent by 108 companies and divided into five CSR areas: community, marketplace, environment, workplace, management and reporting. Moreover, four collective descriptions including 48 practices were created: corporate volunteering, help for people affected by flood that happened in Poland in 2010, eco office, and preventive health care for employees… Read more

Read a firsthand experience from Intel Education Service Corps

Danone publishes 2011 sustainability report
Danone has recently published its sustainability report (currently only available in French). The report looks at the major societal challenges and Danone's strategic action to combat these challenges in the four main areas of Health, Diversity, Nature and People. MSD joins partnership to launch Africa's first cervical cancer prevention program
The Government of Rwanda, together with QIAGEN N.V. (NASDAQ: QGEN, F:QIA) and Merck (NYSE: MRK), known as MSD outside the United States and Canada, today announced the launch, in Kigali, Rwanda, of a comprehensive national cervical cancer prevention program that includes vaccination with GARDASIL [Human Papillomavirus Quadrivalent (Types 6, 11, 16 and 18) Vaccine, Recombinant] for appropriate girls 12 to 15 years of age and modern molecular diagnostic screening for women between the ages of 35 and 45.
