CSR Europe publish joint brochure on European Year of Active Ageing
In collaboration with the European AGE platform and several other project partners, CSR Europe is delighted to announce the joint publication of a new brochure promoting the European Year for Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations, “2012: Everyone has a role to play.” This brochure is intended to provide an extensive introduction to the European Year 2012 and provide readers with some useful tips of how to get involved. 2011 Employability Alliance AWARDS

Corporate social responsibility is widely supported by emerging countries (despite its ambiguity)
By Michel Doucin, Corporate social responsibility (CSR) has received widespread enthusiasm for some years. Groups of companies throughout the world abide by the United Nations Global Compact (launched by the United Nations Secretary-General, Kofi Annan in 1999) and today nearly 6,000 groups are engaged in CSR. In September 2010, the ISO 26000 standard on social responsibility was adopted with 93% of the 90 States participating voting in favour through standardization organizations. The United Nations Human Rights Council is currently adopting guidelines for human rights and companies, which are sure to receive a unanimous vote… Read more

GoldenBee 2020 launched in China
“GoldenBee 2020”was launched at the Sixth International CSR Forum in Beijing in June 2011. “GoldenBee 2020” is inspired by and created in response to the “Enterprise 2020” launched by CSR Europe in October 2010.Through “GoldenBee 2020”, a new platform is built up for Chinese companies to enhance the responsible competitiveness, share their experience, develop collaborative ventures and contribute to the global sustainable development.At the launch, ten GoldenBee Enterprises initiated ten projects focusing the ten identified key issues in CSR field in China, which are: (1) Comprehensive Social Responsibility Management by State Grid Corporation of China, (2) Green Action 2020 by China Southern Power Grid, (3) Sustainable Supply Chain by BASF China, (4) Conservation and Management of Water Resources by CocaCola China, (5) CSR Ecosphere Development by Intel China, (6) Promoting Informationized Society by NEC China, (7) Energy Efficiency Management and Cities' Sustainable Development by EATON China, (8) Agriculture and Food Safty by DuPont China, (9) Action of Caring Peasant-Workers by Flextronics, and (10) Health, Safety and Growth by Guangxi Liugong Group… Read more

Renault toughens qualifying criteria for eco2 environmental signature

The Hellenic Network for CSR takes part in collaborative community activity
During a special event, the Minister of Education Mrs. Anna Diamantopoulou, declared the completion of a graffiti project at the Special Detention Premises for Young Persons in Avlona (50 km. north of Athens).The project was proposed by the principle of the school of the Premises and was implemented by both students of the school and students of the Athens School of Fine Arts.
