The competition organised within the context of the eSkills for Jobs awareness raising campaign aims to promote positive and creative attitude towards digital technology and inspire Europeans to improve their command of information and communication technology skills.
This year the outstanding work will be awarded in three categories:
- Young digital talent for participants aged between 16 - 25 years’ old, tasked with creating a video game using Scratch;
- Innovative App developer for participants aged between 18 - 35 years’ old, tasked with coding;
- Outstanding digital skills developer for teachers and educators; tasked with presenting an innovative way of developing students' digital skills.
All eSkills video competition winners and runners-up will be announced and awarded during the eSkills high-level conference in Bratislava in October 2016. Success stories about the winners and runners-up will be disseminated on the campaign social media networks, website and press release.
Interested stakeholders are invited to sponsor prizes, such as: paid internships, free trainings or certification vouchers, digital devices/equipment and more.
The deadline for submission of entries is August 31 ,2016.
All educators are also invited to participate in MOOC Developing digital skills in your classroom, which has started on April 4.
